Our CarriersInsurance carriers are either "admitted" or "non-admitted" by each states insurance department. Admitted carriers are subject to the rules, regulations, and overviews of the states where they do business. Non-admitted carriers are usually referred to as "surplus" or "excess lines insurers". Without non-admitted carriers, high loss-potential risks, those with loss issues or specialty risks would be uninsurable. Specialty Risks, earthquake and professional liability coverages are among those that are often not written by admitted carriers.
To insure the needs of all of our clients, Aloha State Insurance uses admitted and non-admitted carriers.
